I have had frontpoint security for 3 years. Someone is still breaking into my house. The alarm is not set off. Something is wrong! I called the company and they have no explanation. I requested a camera set up and was told I would have to start all over again with new equipment. I cannot afford new equipment. I do not know what to do. I requested an online quote and got a call less than 2 minutes after hitting the "submit" key. I explained to the sales rep that my home had been broken into recently and I wanted video surveillance because the grand jury failed to indict the burglar because there wasn't video proof. He double talked and informed me that the system would cost $99 up front and $44.99/month. I requested an online quote and couldn't believe that my phone was ringing not 2 minutes after I hit the "send" button! I explained to the rep that my home had been broken into last summer and that the person who did it was not held responsible because the grand jury said there was insufficient evidence to prove he was breaking in (I guess ripping off a screen and trying to force a window isn't sufficient?). Emailed a request for additional information and phone has been ringing every hour with pushy sales reps. Way to pushy and seeming desperate for a sale, that type of sales makes me leery and have decided not the company to put my money and trust into. Getting calls from numbers that are local and 1800 types all from same person but if you attempt to call back no answer. Something just seems off with the overly aggressive sales pitch. This company SUCKS! They are blood sucking parasites. I tried to cancel my service because I lost my job and needed to cut down on my expenses and found out I was bound to a 3 year contract... They literally told me I needed a death certificate to get out of the contract. I'm sure it's in the fine print but no one called that to my attention when I signed up over the phone. Now I get angry every month when these cockroaches take $45 from my bank account every month for the next 2 years! Frontpoint sucks! I don't need 100 words to describe this... Read more

Hello, you say you don't own the equipment? I received a quote from FP and was told "I" own the equipment. I've seen the warranty listed as 2 or 3 years? I am considering either FP or ADT. The FP salesman sent me emails for my review....about how "bad" ADT is, especially the verbage in their contract. The ADT salesman who visited, told us differently than the contract....imagine that! When we subscribed to Front Point we were under the impression we were dealing with a consumer friendly company, boy were we wrong. They are just like all the other companies who's main concern is to collect on their contracts regardless of the status of customers situation. I had lost my job 6 months into the contract and also the US to Cdn $ exchange rate increased by 20%. I have been with FrontPoint since 2012. The camera's infrared light broke, so, I can not longer my house when the light is turned off. The backup battery had been replaced, and now it says low bat again. Because it had so many problems, I had to disconnect the backup battery cable to reset the system every time; that cable connector is broken and I have to use electrical tape to hold the wires together. When I called to inquire about the system, the rep was very nice. He was able to get me the system in the price range I specified. What he filed to mention was there was a long term monitoring requirement. I have moved and have security at the new home. I am continuing to pay (money that I can't afford) for this ridiculous service I am not receiving. Frontpoint is a scam who does not disclose the 'fine print' in the sales process. This is my experience based on researching and making a decision on which security system to purchase for my home in rural New Mexico, in March 2016. Vivint with their hard sell tactics and verbal insults telling my wife she was "***" when she asked the guy going door to door to just leave some information for us to review, contributed to them falling way short!
